the jukebox

M and i were sitting at the food court in East Coast Park today having brunch and suddenly out of nowhere the jukebox started playing. it's a pretty red jukebox full of really old songs, and at intervals of about 20 minutes it would just start belting out a song from random selection of it's tiny collection, seemingly asking for attention.

that gave me an idea for a short story... "the Jukebox"

Lovely day today for the beach; the weather has changed for the cheerier, and it's all good!

I'll be up on the roof of the swissotel tomorrow morning with a bunch of other scholarship winners - SPH wants to take pictures of us; I do hope it's not a ploy to fling infidels off the top of the highest building in town for their crimes... cos i'll probably be the first to be shoved over! anyway, here's what the instructions for it were:

1. Please meet at the lobby of Swissotel The Stamford at 6.50am where the clock is (you can't miss it). I'll be there -- my mobile number is XXXXXXXX.

2. We want to shoot a cover at the rooftop of the 73-storey-high Swissotel The Stamford on Jan 16, Monday from 7am to 11am. The concept is about high-flyers having a view from the top of the Singapore skyline.

3. If it rains at shoot time on Jan 16, we will shoot at the same time on Jan 17.

4. For a good shoot, please note the following:
- No prints
- No whites
- No light-blue
- No stripes
- No checkers
- No t-shirts
- No polo-shirts
- No flared skirts for girls

5. Please come with a clean face for make-up.

sounds kinda cheesy - high flyers having a view from the 73rd floor. Mmmm. oh well.
